Apache-tårer - Vulkanisk Sort Obsidian (USA)

I wasn't expecting it to be so lightweight for volcanic glass, but that's apparently normal for obsidian. Holding it up to the light shows how deep the black really goes.

The stone I got has that glassy, almost wet-looking sheen that real obsidian gets, and holding it up to light you can see it's properly black, not just dark grey. Mine's small enough to keep in my pocket, which is exactly what I wanted for a worry stone.

Mine has a tiny chip on one edge but honestly it makes the piece feel more raw, like it actually came out of the ground. The glossy black surface throws back a nice reflection under my desk lamp, and it's heavier in the hand than I expected for something this small.
